European defense needs a sustainable production and supply chain with 14001 certification
In today’s rapidly evolving defense industry, customers face increasing pressure to select suppliers and sub-suppliers who deliver high-quality...
It is no easy task to attain and maintain quality certifications for a manufacturing company. It can take years to obtain and requires a considerable amount of effort. To work with the best, Multicut moved to a different league and achieved the necessary certifications to do so. As a result, we are currently supplying top-quality metal components for the aerospace and defense industries.
Being a certified supplier does not only state that you are amongst the best at what you do, it further shows customers that you are willing to go above and beyond to deliver the best possible results.
Our certificates are a testimony of quality that can be seen in our administrative and procedural activities. So far, Multicut has acquired three relevant certificates which ensure that we can supply flawless products and provide the best possible service to our customers.
ISO 9001 is a certification in quality management systems. It is a standard certificate that requires companies to maintain a certain level of product- and service quality as well as customer-centricity. Some of the demands for the ISO 9001 certification are establishing and maintaining a quality management system, risk management, and promoting processes that focus on customer needs, increased value, efficiency, and constant improvement through objective measurements.
Key principles of certificate:
With the ISO 9001 certification, we demonstrate to our customers that we meet the demands for quality in our products, production activities, and services. Acting as a seal of approval, the certification underlines our acknowledgment and responsibility towards customers and business partners.

AS9100 is an extended version of the ISO9001 certification with additional, strict demands for quality and safety. This specific type of certificate is exclusive to suppliers that meet certain requirements for creating and maintaining a comprehensive quality system to provide safe and reliable products to the aerospace and defense industries.
Key principles of certificate:
The certificate is not a product standard, defining product quality, it requires suppliers to control and rethink their processes to ensure that the product(s) meet customer- and industry demands.
Very few companies have achieved this certification, meaning that Multicut is one of the few Danish sub-suppliers for the aerospace and defense industries with the AS9100 certificate.

Working within the metal industry, traceability is key. That is why we are certified to re-stamp components according to the current regulations. This way, our customers always have material certificates for every single component delivered, making it easy to trace the origin and specifics of each component.

With our certifications, Multicut becomes a member of a small exclusive club with only a few Danish companies, that can say the same. However, to improve and strengthen Denmark's position in the market of sub-suppliers for demanding industries such as aerospace and defense, more Danish companies should take the plunge and acquire an aerospace certification.
At Multicut, we always aspire to stay relevant and competitive within the industry in which we operate. This way, we not only quality-proof our products but also show that we are committed to offering the best possible service, operating the most efficient production, and delivering flawless products to our customers.
